Hospitals, not my favourite place in the world for a start. Last time I was in one I went to visit my mate coz he had piles. The time before that I was saying goodbye to a friend. Then before that I had to have an EEG brain scan...and..well..a few x-rays before that I was being squeezed out of me mammy.


I wasn't best pleased with the turn of events. Bit of a heavy weekend really. In bed all day Monday with the boyfriend feeling a little worse for wear - bit of a sore throat to boot.

Wake up in the morning in a sweaty fever. Throat throbbing and ears burning. "I'll sleep it off until the afternoon"

GP dismissed it.."drink plenty of fluids and come back tomorrow if white spots appear"

Okydoke, I thought.

6pm boyfriend decides to take me to hospital "honestly love I've had acute tonsilitus before and I had to go on a drip" - cheers babe, makes me feel loads better!

Turns out my tonsils are the worst that the out of hours doctor at the hospital has ever seen. So they refer me to ward 6...looks like I'm bloody staying

Much waiting, getting wound up, bleeding into bottles and having my arms squeezed later and I'm back home - with an absess on my right tonsil the size of the eiffel tower..wooooooo.

You should see the size of the bloody antibiotic pills I gotta take...bleeeh. Oh well, after being threatened with a drip I'm glad to be home. Off to see yet another man in a white coat about it tomorrow.
